50's Tolerance 500K CTS Guitar Pots

ThroBak 50's style Les Paul wiring harnesses use vintage spec., audio taper, 500K CTS pots for both volume and tone controls. These harnesses are the perfect complement to ThroBak P.A.F. reproduction pickups and the player wanting the full treble response from their guitar. Speced to a +/- 9% tolerance with a target just above 500K assures that all pots are within the 500k to 565K window of vintage pots used in vintage 50's and 60's era Gibson electric guitars guitars. The 500k Plus specification assures the added treble response of a vintage 50's Les Paul wiring harness. Factory supplied pots installed in modern era Les Paul guitars have a tolerance of +/- 20% and are speced at 300k or 500K depending upon year. These lower valued pots rob treble from from the signal that many guitar players prefer to have at the ready. Switching to a ThroBak Les Paul wiring harness can free the shimmery treble your Les Paul that it was born to have.

The ThroBak Les Paul guitar wiring harness uses only the highest quality .022uf capacitors to connect the volume and tone pots. For the ultimate in vintage tone, choose hand made Luxe paper in oil capacitors, hand wound by Luxe on a 1932 Sprague Specialties Co. Winding Machine replica using exact vintage spec foil and paper film. These amazing guitar capacitors are hot vacuum impregnated with pure castor oil then soldered and hand cast in oven-proof thermoplastic and finally hand painted for the perfect Bumble Bee look.
For players that want accurate early 60's paper and foil guitar capacitor tone we also offer the Lux Black Beauty 400DC 160p .022uf reproduction capacitor. Finally for players that want great tone and economy, without the vintage cosmetics, we offer the classic Mallory M-150 .022uf Mylar capacitor. |

ThroBak Les Paul guitar wiring harnesses are available with short shafts pots for Historic Reissue Les Pauls and Les Paul Special guitars and ES-335 guitars. Long shaft pots are also in stock for Les Paul Standard, Tribute and other Les Paul guitars that require long shaft pots.
